His ability to act serious and comedic has always been his strengths, this movie however was highly disappointing pretty stupid and definitely overrated.<br/><br/>This story had potential but was poorly executed. Could have been good as 2 separate movies however combined make such a poor combination it can be compared to dipping lychee&#39;s in salt.<br/><br/>On the one hand you have Jackie Chan in an epic love story past and present, dreams and millennium long promises waiting to be fulfilled. Epic battle sequences with adventurous archeology.<br/><br/>However on the other hand you have Jackie Chan in his usual comedic self fascinated by dreams, action and comedy.<br/><br/>Now if you add them together you have a serious script with added action comedy which ruin the mood, random useless scenes in India which in no way further the plot and instead a not very entertaining filler smack bang in the middle where crucial plot development could occur. The very beautiful Indian girl disrupts the main and real love story in the movie between the Korean girl. Sexual references in this movie especially when we see flashes of underwear from the Indian girl are quite inappropriate in this film. Sexual references with the Korean girl arguably could have been necessary.<br/><br/>Tony leung kar Fai is a pretty horrible actor (well in this film anyway). He has no chemistry whatsoever with Jackie Chan. His presence weaken the plot and his fateful end leaves viewers with no emotion for him whatsoever, personally i laughed at his pitifulness. <br/><br/>The action epic battle sequences in the Qin era were pretty impressive i must say especially the mountain of a Slain army.<br/><br/>Quite a disappointing entry from Jackie Chan. This movie is in no way art-house, highly overrated and extremely poorly executed I saw the gala of this at the Toronto Film Fest. Halfway through the movie I leaned over jokingly and said to my girlfriend, &quot;This is the worst movie ever,&quot; having forgotten about Weekend at Bernies 2. Fifteen or so minutes later, the guy next to me said the same thing to his girlfriend. That gives you an idea. The highlight is the &#39;glue scene&#39; which is the only thing that kept this 1/4 th of a star above 0, which is why it beat out Weekend at Bernies 2. I don&#39;t know if the ending was worse than Revolver&#39;s because we walked out before it happened, and we weren&#39;t alone. Sorry Jackie, I loved you in Rumble in the Bronx and Shanghai Noon. 1/4th star should round down to zero stars, but this review thing defaults to at least 1.
